This race is a Warm Up of the Spanish championship race which will take place at the same track in 3 weeks. Saturday the qualification was reduced due to heavy rain and HongNor team driver Richi Gomez finished as 3rd qualifier. On Sunday Richi finished first at Semifinal. He was more than one lap ahead of the second driver. During the main Final, he was leading the race until half way through the final. Because he faced a plug failure, he lost many lap time. Richi could only recover to a fantastic 3rd place when he finished the race. A prescindere dalle prestazioni,questa macchina non mi ha mai attirato più di tanto..Comunque in pista si comporta egregiamente.

Gia il fatto che una macchina abbia diversi "padri",e sia marcata Hong Nor,Jamara ecc ecc (dietro c'è anche la Carson Modelsport),mi fa pensare ad un prodotto commerciale senza arte ne parte,e non scatta in me quel coinvolgimento psicologico che ci spinge a fare una scelta piuttosto che un'altra. HongNor reports - “Hong Nor team driver Mark Remken converted the X1X-CR pro that was sponsored by HONG NOR to the X2. Hobby Centre sponsored Mark with the X2 conversion kit. The comments from Mark after his win were, “the car is a big improvement over the X1. It jumps better, corners better and accelerates better.” The other competitors using the X2 were happy that the lap times had improved. Hong Nor reports - “This past weekend also took place the 1st race of the CATALUÑA CHAMPIONSHIP at Ripoll (Girona) track. With topl drivers like Robert Batlle, two HONGNOR X2-CR drivers finished on the podium. ALVERT NAVARRO & PATXI PEÑAS. During qualification Patxi Peñas with Hongnor and Picco had very bad luck and needed to recover from the 1/8 to semifinal. The semifinal was very intense betwen Robert Batlle and Patxi Peñas. During the final both Alvert and Patxi were fighting for the victory with Robert Batlle during the entire race. Thirty minutes through the final, Alvert had a problem with a tire and lost some time so he finished 3rd. Patxi fought until the end and managed to finish 2nd. Congratulations to Alvert Navarro and Patxi Peñas for they both finished on the podium. Per quanto riguarda le vittorie,un buon assetto,una buona meccanica e sopratutto un gran manico può portare nel podio qualsiasi macchina.Senza tralasciare il fattore culo.
