SM01 - 06

The SUPER METALLIC Series is a very new metallic paint, which uses high class fine metallic particles.
The base material used is the same as that for Mr. Color.

Please use T101 - T104 Mr. Color Thinner or T106, T108 Mr. Color Leveling Thinner for paint dilution and airbrush painting.

For airbrush painting, dilute paint with thinner to a ratio of 1 (paint) : 1 ~ 2 (thinner).

For further glazing, coat the surface using 513 Super Clear Gloss, etc.
(excluding SM06)

Notes
Be sure to use Leveling Thinner for SM01 and SM06 in order to utilize the characteristics of the paint.
For SM06, be sure to apply Mr. Color, Mr. Spray black (gloss) as a base coat color before painting in order to give a metallic touch.
In the case of SM06, clear paint can not be applied over the painted surface.
(It dulls the color.)
Metallic particles tend to settle easily, so stir well when thinning or even during painting.
Needle airbrushes tend to clog easily with metallic particles, so do not attempt an extremely fine spray.
Use an airbrush with a bore diameter of over 0.3mm.

SM07

PLATE SILVER uses ultra fine nano size particle metallic pigment and provides a very new plating type metallic finish.

A dedicated solvent is necessary for this paint, so be sure to use only the attached dedicated thinner.
(You can not mix this paint with SM01 - 06.)

The paint viscosity is low, so normally it is not necessary to thin it.
It can also be used in an airbrush without thinning, however, if you feel the paint is too thick, add a small amount of dedicated thinner to adjust concentration.

The results with this paint are affected by irregularities in the base.
If the base has a mirror finish, the degree of gloss increases.

If you rub the surface hard, the paint film will peel, so try not to touch the surface with your hands once it is painted.

Clear paint (including water based paint) can not be applied over the painted surface.
(It dulls the color.)

The paint is highly volatile, so do not leave it for long without the lid on.

Quando successivamente gli chiesi:
"On the "How to Use" instruction of Super Metallic Series, I can read (about the SM-07 Plate Silver):
The results with this paint are affected by irregularities in the base. If the base has a mirror finish, the degree of gloss increases.
This means that I have to use a Black Gloss base for this paint too? Like the SM-06?
Thanks you very much. Best regards."

ancora gentilmente, Hamano-san mi rispose

"Dear Mr. Massimo,
This means you need polish the surface of the model kit
before paint the SM07 to make mirror finish.
You do not need use black paint before SM07."

Ora, Alessandro, 'sto colore, vedi di farlo fruttare. Deliziaci

Ciao. Massimo.
